3D Printing With Wood
Inventor Kai Parthy has spent the last year developing what he calls LAYWOO-D3; a RepRap compatible FDM filament made from a recycled wood and polymer composite.
The filament allows printers to create a tree ring effect by changing the temperature between 175°C and 250°C.
According to Parthy the finished product “looks like wood and smells like wood!”
